Addressing a crowd at Clifford Park, the PM said: “July 10, 1973, marked the birth of our nation.”
PM Davis also urged to recall the contributions of some distinguished Bahamians such as former Prime Minister Lynden Oscar Pindling and other exceptional figures.
The 50th anniversary celebrations have attracted regional and international leaders including Rwandan President Paul Kagame and Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, among others.
