At the third meeting of the working group, which will culminate on July 12, delegates from G20 member countries and invited guests, as well as international organizations, will also discuss the promotion of creative industries and the use of technologies to safeguard the sector.
During the event, participants will share their experience and best practices in positioning culture as an engine to drive recovery and sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development.
A roundtable on the preamble and guiding principles for working towards the development and preservation of culture, as well as sessions to discuss strategies to pursue this goal, will take place at the event starting tomorrow.
Attendees will also receive updates on G20 cultural projects, the organization of the fourth meeting in Varanasi and a report on thematic webinars related to the field.
According to the organizers, India will take the opportunity to showcase its rich heritage and cultural diversity during the event hosted in the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire in the 14th century and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Delegates will visit historical monuments and the Hampi digital museum and enjoy performances by leather puppet artists, Ganjifa artwork, Bidri and Kinhal handicrafts, among other activities.
