The event will be a tribute to both writers and poets, two essential authors of Cuban and Latin American literature, both winners of Cuba’s National Literature Awards. Also, the event is organized by the Cuban Book Institute at 11:00 a.m. local time.

The book Un Rumor Apenas, a compilation of lectures on Fina Garcia Marruz and Eliseo Diego, will be presented by poet, narrator, essayist and translator Josefina de Diego, daughter of the author of “En la Calzada de Jesús del Monte” and other books.

The volume was published by Ediciones Extramuros in 2019, according to the Cubaliteraria site, and brings together five lectures that allow a new and enriching approach to passages from the life and work of the prestigious Cuban narrators.

They are “The English language and English literature in the life and work of writer Eliseo Diego”, “Spain and Spanish literature in the life and work of writer Eliseo Diego”, ” Commented reading of Pequeñas memorias, unpublished text by Fina García Marruz”.

The other texts compiled are “Lo que me cuentan los libros de la biblioteca de mi padre, Eliseo Diego” and “Lo que me cuentan los libros de la biblioteca de mi padre (II): la biblioteca de un traductor”.
