The Games allowed some who had not tasted the exotic coffee to try it as can be appreciated by those at the Press Center installed in the Jorge ‘El Magico’ Gonzalez National Stadium. There, a bartender invites them to taste the aromatic local coffee.
Salvadoran golden coffee is part of the prizes received by the over 5,000 athletes participating in the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023, who in addition to accumulating medals, experiences and emotions, have been able to enjoy the flavor of one of the best coffees worldwide, according to local press this week.
“El Salvador” journal reported that the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) informed that, throughout the competition, the Government made available to the 37 delegations the brand “Café de El Salvador,” a distinctive mark that distinguishes the varieties grown in the country.
Visitors have had special Salvadoran coffee at their disposal in the various sports venues and resting places. This brand of coffee has accumulated exports for 85.3 million dollars until May, 2023. Furthermore, its producers will get more profits if a Free Trade Deal is signed with China.
