Pakistan and Qatar advocate for more trade ties

Islamabad, Jul 6 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan and Qatar have advocated for further strengthening bilateral ties with higher impact in trade and investment sectors, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported Thursday.

In a meeting with outgoing Qatari Ambassador to Islamabad, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was satisfied with the long-standing relations between the two countries, which he described as brotherly.

He also highlighted the recent visit of the Qatar Investment Authority delegation as Qatar’s interest in investing in several sectors of Pakistan’s economy.

He also stressed the increasing number of high-level meetings between the two countries and the cooperation in food security, energy, information technology, mining, and defense.

The Pakistani prime minister wished Ambassador Al-Thani all success in his future assignments.

Ambassador Al-Thani thanked the government and the people of Pakistan for their hospitality and warmth, which made his stay truthfully unforgettable.
