Henry returned on Thursday from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Summit where he held bilateral meetings with his counterparts insisting on the pressing need to support a deployment of international forces to help Haitian law enforcement officers to contain armed groups.
Upon his arrival, Henrry stated “I want to say to all my brothers and sisters in Haiti that the only goal of my administration is to make good elections to hand over power to the Haitian people, to elect the person they want to put at the head of the country”.
He expressed his confidence in the international support for domestic security, so that Haiti may recover a peace scenario.
We need peace and security, and armed groups will not the ones who give it to us, Henrry stressed.
