During a phone call, Shoukry explained Cairo’s efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the neighboring country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release.

The head of Egyptian diplomacy stressed that his country welcomed tens of thousands of Sudanese who fled the fighting between the Army and a rebel militia that began on April 15.

Shoukry also addressed the new Israeli aggression in the occupied territories following the attack on the West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, which killed 12 Palestinian citizens and a soldier.

Both sides praised the dynamics of economic cooperation between the two nations.
