In a statement addressed to that institution and to the former President Allende´s family, ACCRECH described as an affront the presence of Bruguera in the program for the 50th anniversary of the coup d’état.
ACCRECH recalled that Bruguera pretends to be a figure of dissidence with the support of the mass media, some academic centers and those who finance her activities with ultra-right sectors in several places, including Chile.
Solidarity expressions after the infamous and painful coup of September 11, 1973, were a State policy of the Cuban Revolutionary Government, of all its institutions and political, trade union, cultural and educational organizations.
It was also specified that members of the “Association of Free Cubans,” whom Tania Bruguera met with and who openly defend the coup d’état and the figure of dictator Augusto Pinochet, do not belong to ACCRECH.
