The joint maneuvers lasted several days and included medium and heavy machine guns and US-made Himars rocket launcher systems.

Farid Al-Qassem, a commander of this illegal formation that receives weapons, money, and training from the Pentagon, wrote on Twitter that the maneuver was for defensive and reconnaissance purposes.

In addition to supporting the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces in the country’s northeastern region, the Pentagon military forces have begun to create armed groups, such as the Army of Tribes, the al-Sanadid Forces, and the Free Raqa Brigade, to recruit Syrians by paying them high salaries.

Under the pretext of fighting terrorism, the United States has at least a dozen bases in Syria, mostly in the oil and gas fields in the northeastern region of al-Jazeera, mainly in al-Hasaka. It maintains one military base in the al-Tanef area bordering Iraq to prevent any land communication between these two countries.
