According to electrical transport engineer Semyon Zemtsev, the vehicle was tested on the ice of Lake Baikal, and now they are working on a prototype to set new records on asphalt.
“First of all, we changed the chassis design, reduced the base. We changed the position of the center of gravity, we worked with ergonomics. The process took one and a half year, because we were making a different design, Zemtsev said.
The professor explained that the engine is the same for both prototypes, with an output of more than 150 horsepower. The updated version has a short frame, a new battery, and the asphalt model is 100 kilograms lighter than the previous one, with a very strong carbon fiber body.
Polytechnic University student Andrei Danovski stressed that the engineering students are developing a body kit, with the aim of making it as precise as possible and without gaps, so that the motorcycle is perfectly aerodynamic.
According to the creators of the motorcycle, only the testing of the computer control systems and some other tests remain to bring the new vehicle to the market.
