A statement published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the attacks included the demolition of homes, the destruction of public infrastructure and the displacement of thousands of people from their homes.
The Government expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and called to respect international law, human rights and to desist from any unilateral action of force in order to avoid an escalation of violence that would further affect the civilian population.
It also considered it essential to relaunch the process of negotiations leading to a peace agreement within the framework of the two-State solution within internationally recognized borders, in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the United Nations.
