The military spokesman pointed out at his regular press conference that in the Donetsk sector, competent and courageous actions by the defending units of the southern grouping of troops allowed repeling all enemy’s attempts at advancing.

Konashenkov explained that the Ukrainian forces lost some 290 servicemen, two infantry vehicles, nine trucks, two pickup trucks, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery unit, Msta-B and D-30 howitzers, and a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery unit.

In addition, a field ammunition depot of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the town of Vyemka in the Donetsk People’s Republic was destroyed.

The representative of the military corps assured that the Ukrainian forces continued their unsuccessful offensive attempts in the southern part of Donetsk, especially in Krasny Liman, and in Zaporozhye.
