In a telephone conversation, the Syrian foreign minister reaffirmed Syria’s support of the Russian Federation in its special military operation in Donbass and in the face of attempts to undermine its security and national stability.

He thanked Moscow for its support in the fight against terrorism and for dealing with various attempts to undermine Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.

In turn, Lavrov expressed his gratitude to Syria for its support for Russia and for the measures it is implementing to counteract hostile Western campaigns.

He stated that Russia is doing all its efforts to support stability in the Arab region and increase cooperation between their countries to address common challenges.

The two foreign ministers discussed bilateral relations and agreed to maintain the high level of coordination and communication between their countries in all fields and exchange support at the United Nations and international forums.
