In a statement, the Colombian Foreign Ministry expressed its deep concern over Monday´s attacks.

“In this regard, Colombia condemns all violence or unilateral acts that lead to a higher confrontation and escalation level, thus aggravating the humanitarian situation in Palestine and constituting obstacles to achieving peace and viability of the two-state solution,” according to the statement.

Colombian Government stated that it also noted deep concern over Israel´s military actions and the announcement to expand Israeli settlements across the West Bank.

Finally, Colombia insisted on the emergency of a cessation of acts of violence and expressed its hope that Israel and Palestine would resume talks leading to a definitive solution to present conflict, in accordance with international law and UN resolutions.
