According to the head of Capali, Orit Btesh, under the slogan “Identity, Ethnicity and Origin”, the fair will be held at the Atlapa Convention Center, in this capital, to pay tribute to the roots.
In this edition, from August 15 to 20, a special place will be given to native groups and Afro-descendants, she added.
Among the writers of honor this year will be the Mexican Zapotec deputy and indigenous politician Eufrosina Cruz, who will come with Penguin Random House to present her work and will also have dialogues with the chiefs and representatives of the indigenous groups of Panama.
Also in this edition the Congresses for Teachers and Librarians will be resumed, as will be the space “New Voices”, which allows 30 emerging national writers to present their works.
