The two countries should work more closely, coordinate, and organize regular naval exercises and patrols, Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu and Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Yevmenov said during a meeting.
Li expressed Beijing’s willingness to work with Moscow to implement the consensus the two heads of State reached, expand the scope of cooperation to specialized areas, and contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.
Yevmenov spoke of maintaining military cooperation with China in different segments and where pragmatism prevails.
He also called for increasing exchanges between the two navies and armies in general.
