El Diario El Salvador cites a message on its Twitter account from President Nayib Bukele that reported an operation carried out against a boat 525 nautical miles southwest of the Bocana El Cordoncillo, in the waters of the Estero de Jaltepeque, on the coastal strip of the department of La Paz.

This is the most distant operation that was recorded in the history of the country, and six crew members were found on the boat: three Ecuadorians and three Mexicans, who were detained by the authorities and will be taken into custody of the corresponding entities, the ruler added.

Bukele showed in his message three photographs showing the six arrested and part of the seized drugs.
