The Venezuelan delegation arrived at El Dorado International Airport, where it was welcomed by local authorities.
The Commission will seek to promote cooperation and development between the two nations in the border areas, the Foreign Ministry said.
During his stay in Bogota, the head of the Venezuelan diplomacy will be received by his Colombian counterpart, Alvaro Leyva, and a joint statement is expected at the end of the meeting.
Colombia and Venezuela reestablished political, diplomatic, commercial and economic ties in August 2022, after President Gustavo Petro took office. Since then, Petro and his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, have taken steps to make progress in the full restoration of bilateral relations.
