Emilio Lozada, head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, said: “Cuba is facing a complex economic situation, mainly due to the intensification of the blockade that the United States has been enforcing against Cuba for almost 65 years and which represents the main obstacle to our development”.
He mentioned the more than 240 measures imposed by the previous administration of former US President Donald Trump, to economically stifle Cuba and that the administration of Democrat Joe Biden still keeps each one intact.
Together with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the president of the Workers’ Party, Gleisi Hoffmann, and the executive secretary of the forum, Monica Valente, the Cuban Communist leader Emilio Lozada alo denounced the inclusion of Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, issued unilaterally from Washington.
He said that, in spite of the siege and the unjust measures, Cuba will continue to resist with the firm conviction of victory.
