On the Cuban Presidency’s Twitter account, it was posted that the governmental delegation also included Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marreo, several deputy prime ministers, ministers and provincial authorities.
Deputy Prime Minister Ramiro Valdes informed they had examined local production of materials and packaging, as well as the generation of electricity for summer and the following months, among other top-priority issues.
During the meeting, it was acknowledged the province’s potentialities to progress in decisive programs such as food production.
Prior to the closing ceremony, President Diaz-Canel paid a solemn tribute to Cuban heroes and martyrs at the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, among them the National Hero Jose Marti, the Homeland’s father and mother: Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and Mariana Grajales; in addition to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.
