The hearing turned out to be the third for the analysis of the case and was initiated with the vote of Minister Raul Araújo, who disagreed and rejected the charges against the former president of ultra-right tendency.
“In a democracy, there are no limits to the fundamental right to doubt. Every citizen is free to doubt,” Araújo argued.
He noted that he agreed that Bolsonaro may have spread false information about the elections, but did not understand “the serious fact” for conviction.
Then the ministers Floriano de Azevedo Marques and André Ramos Tavares voted for the punishment against the former president.
