“It is important to note that Gidropribor developed equipment with a new caliber, which due to its size and relatively low weight can be placed on helicopters and drones, among others, and can be accompanied by launcher and console to organize firing,” Kettuyev said

“The new weapon has a caliber of 220 millimeters and a length of two meters. These torpedoes carry enough explosives. If we talk about TNT equivalents, then they carry up to 35 kilograms,” he added.

Kettuyev explained that the torpedo covers a distance of five to seven kilometers, reaches a speed of 27 knots (about 50 kilometers per hour) and can travel to a depth of 450 meters. These are characteristics that make it possible to reach all submarines operating down to that depth.

The senior official noted that the company is ready to manufacture similar devices for foreign customers, because there are no torpedoes with similar characteristics abroad.
