Precisely, one of them is the Provincial Visual Arts Salon, which in its call for the XXX edition calls all the authors of the province, residents or not, to participate in this contest, which will provide the exhibition of the exhibition in competition, collateral presentations and theoretical events.
Yuricel Moreno, director of the Center, highlighted the transcendence of the Salon, based on its capacity to make visible the works of local creators, their dissimilar interests and aesthetic views.
Moreno emphasized that, since 1984, the contest has managed to position itself for its impact on the cultural life of the city of Holguín, as well as for the quality and diversity of the proposals in competition.
Other actions are the inauguration of the exhibition of abstract art by Juan Carlos Anzardo and of the institution’s collection, under the name Cámara de Maravillas (Chamber of Wonders). The Center is also promoting the calls for the Ibero-American Visual Arts Exhibit 2023 and the First Meeting of Papermakers, both events planned for the next edition of the Ibero-American Culture Festival, in October this year, in this northeastern city.
