Cuba hosts regional civil aviation meeting

Matanzas, Cuba, Jun 29 (Prensa Latina) Representatives of over 15 nations are currently promoting cooperation strategies as part of the 11th Meeting of Directors of Civil Aviation of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean to be held until Friday, June 30.

Participants at Meliá Internacional Hotel, in Varadero, agreed to work together on global top-priorities including hitting zero-emissions by 2050, for which Cuba is presently making its best efforts along with industry, academia, the states, and regional Governments.

Civil aviation plays a catalyst for tourism development linking with regional countries, in addition to betting on operational safety and strengthening travelers’ confidence.

Such objectives coincide with those of international civil aviation. They are recognized as a country that applies and defends the rules and regulations promoted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Transport Minister Eduardo Rodríguez stressed.
