According to the entity, the meeting took place positively, with the main component of the talks being the humanitarian issue related to refugees, including minors.
Zuppi arrived in Moscow on Tuesday night, with the second phase of his mission beginning on Wednesday.
As reported by the Holy Site’s press service, the trip aims to “make a humanitarian contribution, to find a way out of the current tragic situation in order to achieve a just world.”
The cardinal visited Kiev earlier, where he met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and various religious figures.
