The event is aimed at promoting literary production in electronic format by Cuban publishers, institutions and companies.
Two books will be presented from the digital catalog of Ediciones Icaic, an imprint of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry which, in addition to its usual publications in paper format, has delivered to its readers several titles in digital format.
The volumes available to the public will be “Seduciendo a un extraño” (Seducing a Stranger), a book of fiction stories based on cinema, the first in the narrative genre signed by Caballero.
“Nadie es perfecto” (Nobody is Perfect) is the other one, a text that delves into the ins and outs of cinema, its virtues and defects from his point of view, that of one of Cuba’s most renowned art and audiovisual media critics, according to experts.
The works will be commented by writers Victor Fowler, Francisco Lopez and Daniel Cespedes in the Federico Garcia Lorca Hall of the Havana institution.
Caballero (Cardenas 1966 – Havana 2011) was an excellent Cuban writer, essayist, literary critic, art critic and professor.
Doctor in Sciences on Art and full professor at the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana, he devoted part of his research work to the study of audiovisual media from print and television journalism.
His publications constitute guidelines within the cultural-logical thought from Cuba and an aesthetic legacy that opened new perspectives for the socialization of art and the aesthetic enrichment of his fellow citizens of the island and the world.
