Rogov, who is also the chairman of the We Stand With Russia public movement, wrote on Telegram this Wednesday that six explosions have been reported so far in the urban perimeter of the city of Melitopol.
Zaparizhie province seceded from Ukraine and joined Russia by late September 2022, following a referendum in which the “yes” vote was overwhelming.
Russia currently controls 70 percent of its territory; its leading city, Zaparizhie, remains in Ukrainian hands, so the authorities declared the city of Melitopol as the political and administrative center.
