Cuban FM thanks China’s donation for provinces affected by pelting rains

Havana, Jun 28 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Wednesday thanked the Chinese government for its ,000 donation to contribute to the recovery actions in provinces hard-hit by heavy rains and floods.

On Twitter, the Cuban minister pointed out China´s solidarity initiative confirms close friendship between both peoples and governments.

Cuba´s Deputy Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Minister Débora Rivas and the Chinese Ambassador to Cuba Ma Hui reached Wednesday documents to formalize the donation.

These resources are destined to aid those victims of the hydrometeorological event that affected the center and east of the nation, causing severe damages to agriculture, productive and service infrastructure, and dwellings.

At the ceremony, Rivas recalled China´s assistance on previous occasions, such as its decisive monetary contribution and medical supplies during the confrontation with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Ma Hui praised the struggle and unity of the Cuban people ahead of the rapid mobilization by authorities and the Government.
