According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, they reviewed the issues discussed during the visit of the top US diplomat, Antony Blinken, to Beijing last week.

A strong and stable China-US relationship is in the interests of both countries and the international community, Ambassador Xie Feng said during the call.

He reiterated Chinese President Xi Jinping’s calls to base bilateral ties on respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation, while repeating his country’s red lines on sensitive points, such as the case of Taiwan.

The diplomat said China and the United States should work in the same direction, enhance dialogue and manage differences.
