Work of Cuba’s tourism faculty acknowledged

Havana, Jun 27 (Prensa Latina) The 15th anniversary of the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Havana was celebrated with new cocktails created by professionals from the gastronomic sector, it was reported on Tuesday.

A report from that educational institution said that the cocktail competition to commemorate the Faculty’s anniversary (held at the Tulipán Hotel in Havana) was won by Reinier Valdés, a young graduate from the La Moneda Cubana gastronomic project, with the (alcoholic) Daiquiri Vegetariano (Vegetarian Daiquiri) and the (non-alcoholic) Eterno Verano (Eternal Summer).

The Vegetarian Daiquiri was also chosen as the 15th Anniversary mix of the Faculty by the jury chaired by the vice president of the Havana Bartenders Association, Nadia Palacios.

This combination contains Havana Club 3-Year-Old Rum, ginger syrup, lemon juice and macerated basil.

Faculty of Tourism Dean Lisandra Torres thanked the Association of Cuban Bartenders (ACC) for its support and for bringing the students of the faculty closer to the bar universe, so attractive, as well as the Tulipán Hotel for offering its attractive halls.

The meeting was sponsored by Havanatur, Cubatur, Viajes Cuba and Moto Taxi Habana, and it was a great opportunity for participants to bring this educational institution to Cuba’s forefront.
