Washington’s sanctions have failed, Iranian Foreign Ministry confirms

Tehran, Jun 27 (Prensa Latina) Nasser Kanaani, spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, stated that the relations between his nation and Saudi Arabia are good, while the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States against his country have failed.

Kanaani declared that the Iranian relationship with Saudi Arabia reached normality due to the political will of the leaders of both sides, and legal frameworks have already been developed to improve economic and commercial ties.

He also stressed that both countries have an important role in order to establish security in the region, and affirmed the important position of the Gulf Arab states with his country.

About Yemen, the diplomat emphasized his support to political dialogues and cease-fire, and made clear his government’s respect for the Yemenis’ own decisions.

The Iranian authority pointed out that they failed and did not produce the desired practical results when referring to Washington’s unilateral sanctions against Iran.

Likewise, Kanaani considered a change in US behavior as a prelude to any favorable attitude towards them.
