Unicef presents work campaign 2023-2027 in Costa Rica

San José, Jun 27 (Prensa Latina) Unicef's regional office in Costa Rica presented its work program for 2023-2027, accompanied by a campaign aimed at strengthening programs in order to reduce poverty and social gaps, among others.

The campaign is called Become a Partner of Unicef, a communication campaign that also seeks to provide greater opportunities for children and adolescents living in the 25 most vulnerable cantons of the 84 that exist in this country.

It is important for citizens to know that UNICEF works in Costa Rica and that we need their support to expand and strengthen the work we have been doing in the country since 1950, Javier Martos, Acting Representative in Costa Rica, explained in a press release.

Together with the Costa Rican government, we have been promoting different programs that have had an impact on a broad group of the population. With the help of Unicef’s partners, we can expand and take these programs to the communities and families that need them most, he said.

The official exemplified that they now have 39 safe spaces to support the migrant and Costa Rican population and 144 educational centers with the listening classrooms program to promote mental health, inclusion and violence reduction. We do not want only 39 spaces or 144 educational centers. We need these programs to be all over the country, with your help we can achieve it, he insisted.
