The Electric Energy Workers Network warned that the incumbent called the managers and executive presidents of the companies of the sector to a meeting this Monday to articulate actions and implement this idea, when the current Government has less than six months left in power.

They are summoning them so that, in the exercise of their constitutional autonomy, they allow the transfer of the income from the sale of energy to a single trust, the employees warned.

They stated that it is urgent to defend the state patrimony, denouncing and warning through all the media and social networks, the danger that this process represents for the country.

Regardless of the electoral dispute, we cannot fail to mobilize to stop this new attempt of the bankers’ government, in its voracious appetite to take over the most important patrimony of Ecuadorians, such as the electricity sector, the workers stated.

The Unity for the Homeland front, created to support the Citizen Revolution movement in view of the elections of August 20, joined the call to defend the assets of the State.

The Homeland is not for sale! The Homeland is defended!, that organization expressed in relation to the fact that in the middle of the electoral campaign they intend to hand over the state-owned electric sector to private hands.
