The ministry denounced that this is a unilateral, harassing and very “dirty” act by Washington, after reiterating Beijing’s position of zero tolerance against drug trafficking and, specifically, this substance.
China, it said, strictly applies its anti-drug policy and has regulated fentanyl, which is important to prevent the illicit production, trafficking and abuse of this drug.
The Ministry added that China will exhaust all possible resources to defend the legitimate rights and interests of its companies, pointed out by the United States.
Apart from this office, on Saturday, the Foreign Affairs Ministry protested and denounced that the charges announced by the Justice Department against four companies and the arrest of eight compatriots are completely illegal, violate their rights and also affect the bilateral collaboration in the fight against drugs.
According to this Ministry, Washington went too far in applying its extraterritorial legislations only for the purpose of harassing, pressuring and coercing the Chinese side.
