Beijing, Jun 26 (Prensa Latina) China on Monday informed to maintain close bilateral relations at all levels with Russia, after the tensions generated there by the mutiny of the Wagner private military group.

The diplomat added that Russia is a friendly neighbor and a strategic partner with whom China is coordinating the new era.

The spokesperson further confirmed the meeting between the Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko to review issues of the bilateral, regional and international agenda.

The visitor also held talks with his counterpart Ma Zhaoxu, who called for timely communication in order to consolidate mutual ties and jointly protect the interests of each side.

Last Saturday, Russia experienced times of tension after an attempt of armed rebellion carried out by the Wagner group. The Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko following a telephone contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin, held talks with the founder of the private military group, Evgueni Prigozhin, who agreed to put an end to the insurrection of some 20,000 men under his command.
