The victims were targeted in an ambush in the locality of Al-Mezerib in the west of the governorate, according to a statement issued by the provincial police command.

The dispatch said that the policemen were on their way to the city of Tafas to carry out the mission of ensuring the security of schools, where high school final exams are being held.
