IRNA, citing Emirati sources, stated that Mohammad Mohammadi-Bakhsh, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, and Mohammed al-Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority, signed the agreement.
The information adds that air services will be expanded, and trade and tourism opportunities between the two countries will increase with the signing of the new agreement.
IRNA further quoted Al-Suwaidi telling Emirati media that an important step has been taken in arranging flights to expand air services and benefit Iranian and UAE companies.
The agreement came during a visit by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to the Arab country, the fourth and final stop of his tour of the Persian Gulf countries.
