“It is another attempt to denigrate Russia, to attribute non-existent intentions to us and, at the same time, to cover up its criminal, and indeed terrorist, actions, which represent a serious threat to the environment and the population,” the official stressed.
He noted that Moscow is warning Kiev about possible serious incidents at the nuclear power plant: “we again call on the International Atomic Energy Agency and its leadership to record all cases of attacks by Ukraine, and not turn a blind eye to this,” he added.
Ryabkov stressed that it is Ukraine that “allows itself any provocation and puts the largest nuclear station in Europe in serious danger.”
Zelensky previously commented on his notification to the United States, Brazil, India, China, countries in Europe, the East and Africa about alleged intentions from Russia to release radioactive emissions from the Zaporozhye plant.
