It is the fourth and largest ship sent by Abu Dhabi and is part of the ongoing aid arriving by land, air, and sea to Syria, Abdul Hakeem Al-Nuaimi, chargé d’affaires of the UAE’s Embassy in Damascus, said.

Al-Nuaimi reaffirmed the continuation of aid to the Syrian people to mitigate the aftermath of the earthquakes that struck the country in February 2023.

Latakia Governorate Council Chairman Tayseer Habib expressed gratitude for the UAE’s work in supporting Syrians from the first day of the earthquake by supplying food and other essential items through the airlift.

The aid consists of food, relief, and construction materials for those affected by the earthquakes.
