Vizcarra, who was disqualified two times by Parliament, argued that the cause invoked for the second disqualification for five years has been invalidated.
The sanction was applied for corruption allegedly committed before serving as president and also explained the judicial cause has been dismissed or filed.
He warned that if he does not achieve the nullity of his disqualification, he will resort to international legal instances Peru is attached to.
Regarding Zoraida Ávalos, she will appeal to the Constitutional Court against her disqualification for five years.
The charge is based on the fact that Ávalos, when she served as prosecutor, opened a preliminary investigation into then president Pedro Castillo but, given the fact that the constitution grants immunity to presidents, she froze the investigations until the end of Castillo’s term of office.
