While visiting Granma and Camagüey provinces to review the strategies to restore normalcy in the regions most affected by the rainfalls, the head of Government wrote on Twitter that they are working hard and monitoring the situation.
In statements to national television, Marrero said that the meetings held recently with authorities and residents in the region have allowed identifying other problems that hinder the local development strategies.
Deputy Prime Minister and Economy and Planning Minister Alejandro Gil, Agriculture Minister Idael Perez, Public Works Minister Rene Mesa, and the president of the Cuban Institute of Hydraulic Resources, Antonio Rodriguez, accompanied Marrero on his tour, which included territories in Holguin.
Granma has a total population of 18,585 and was the province most affected by heavy rains, as a result of which 105 communities were isolated.
