The protesters, members of the National Federation of Associations of Critical, Chronic and Degenerative Diseases (Fenaeccd), told the press that the situation has been complex for months, but with no response from the Government.
The Fenaeccd vicepresident Enma Pinzón indicated that they are demanding an end to the “it is out of stock” and “it is coming next month”, when they go to the CSS facilities.
In view of the lack of drugs, the CSS assured that it is implementing a strategy to speed up their purchase, as well as for the payment owed to suppliers of 48 million dollars.
The issue of the shortage of medicines in this country is not new, since 2022 the authorities created a technical table coordinated by the Vice President of the Republic José Gabriel Carrizo, but without the expected results.
