The initiative seeks to improve the living standards of the population and will be implemented in the capital in the coming months.
The deputy president explained that the project is called “Nuevas Victorias” (“New Victories”) apartments, whose first deliveries (134) are scheduled for next December.
“We have already completed the designs for the Nuevas Victorias apartments, in everything that was the center of our capital. We are going to rebuild the center that we had lost 50 years ago but without losing the heart of this Managua, ours, beautiful, glittering”, Murillo said.
According to the information disclosed, the program will be carried out on the instructions of the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega.
Nicaragua is carrying out several national housing construction projects. The most recent one started in the middle of last April and is being carried out with the support of the Chinese Agency for International Development Cooperation.
The works of the program will be done in a period of three years. A total of 12,034 houses will be built in 84 municipalities, 15 departments and two autonomous regions of the country.
According to the presidential adviser for the promotion of investment, trade and international cooperation, Laureano Ortega, the initiative will serve to guarantee decent housing for thousands of families in various parts of the country.
