Renowned journalist Kamal Gaballa quoted the recent words of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who stressed that every minute counts in searching for solutions.
Since Cuba assumed the presidency of the Group in January this year, Havana has seen an unprecedented flurry of political and diplomatic activity, including visits by many foreign leaders and officials, the newspaper states.
The journal recalls that at once, Cuba has been suffering the consequences of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States for more than 60 years.
Cuba is looking forward to the summit of the Group, considered the leading international meeting and the most diverse in the multilateral spheres. On this occasion the summit will draw te world’s attention on the struggle and sufferings of the Cuban people due to the unjust blockade, the Egytian newspaper stressed.
