“In the statement we stress the inadmissibility of weaponization of outer space and the use or threat of use of force in space,” Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergey Aleinik said.

According to Aleinik, the parties stated the outer space must remain peaceful and be used for the benefit of all peoples.

“We call on all States, especially those with large space capabilities, to take pressing measures aimed at preventing the weaponization of outer space,” Aleinik added.

CSTO also adopted a statement on the situation in Afghanistan confirming its “readiness to assist in combating threats to regional security even from the standpoint of keeping peace and stability on CSTO’s southern borders.
