The president of the specialized section of tourism of the Cuban Union of Journalists (UPEC), Hilda Prieto, confirmed the presence of delegates from Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador, Canada, the United States and Cuba, in a important meeting on the latest trends in communication.
The Jose Marti International Institute of Journalism of this capital (headquarters) and UPEC are organizing the meeting (June 19 to 23), an event that already has a tradition in such analysis.
The event is organized by UPEC, which in recent years has been leading studies on how to benefit the promotion of the travel industry in Cuba and the Latin American region.
Among the scheduled topics are the perspectives for tourism in 2023 and 2024 in the world and in the Caribbean, particularly, the strategies of the main hotel chains, smokeless industry in Cuba, new technologies and tourism, along with the main challenges.
Leading experts will propose answers to the questions identified as themes of the meeting.
