As part of the noble efforts of diplomats and their families to help the Cuban people, the Association recently raised more than 10,000 dollars that will be used to refurbish the outpatient chemotherapy room of the Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology of Havana, Al Bader told Prensa Latina.
That amount, he explained, was raised last June 16 during the first art auction, where ambassadors and representatives from several countries of Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and other regions were present, who not only bought the works, but also contributed with donations.
The president of Acdacu assured this agency that this is just the beginning of an intense work to be carried out in support of Cuba, a country that welcomes them with love and affection, where the diplomats and their families will spend years of work, “it is at least a small contribution to those who opened their doors to us”.
He also announced that other activities will be developed to support social and health projects, as well as in other vulnerable sectors of the country.
The Association of Spouses of Diplomats Accredited in Cuba, is a non-profit association created in 2014, among whose objective is to sponsor activities in support of children, seniors, women, as well as others that allow them to get involved financially or materially in social projects.
