Along with the representation of the Caribbean nation, those of the United Arab Emirates, China, India, the United States, Myanmar and Kazakhstan were among those with the most representatives at the Spief, which was held from June 14 to 17, the organizers added.

More than six thousand Russian and foreign business representatives from over three thousand companies from 75 countries and territories took part in the forum, the corresponding Speif report states.

The indicators of participation and interest in the forum reached the level before the Covid-19 pandemic. More than 150 senior officials, including heads of international organizations and associations, foreign ministers and heads of diplomatic missions, visited St. Petersburg.

“The forum focused on developing business ties and expanding contacts with business partners from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Arab world, India, China, Eurasian Economic Union and Association of Southeast Asian Nations and Latin America.

Nearly a third of all discussions were related to the Russian economy, and the key word in the business program sessions was “sovereignty,” Spief organizers said.
