Members of the medical, sports and agricultural brigades will be competing in chess, karate, kicking ball, boxing, volleyball, basketball, field and indoor tennis, as well as tacraw, a sport from Southeast Asia.
Gymnastic compositions will also be presented for senior citizens, Physical Education and Sports students, and will conclude with an aerobic marathon.
Cuban Embassy in East Timor is sponsoring the event with the support of the State Secretariat for Youth and Sports, the National University of East Timor, the Timorese National Police and the United Nations Office.
Activities will start at 7:30 a.m. with a popular walk from the diplomatic headquarters, “For Life and Health”, through the port of Dili to the Secretariat of Youth and Sports, where competitions will be held.
This sports and recreational meeting will also celebrate the 21st anniversary of the restoration of the country’s independence and the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and East Timor.
