Through his Twitter account, the head of State expressed his wish that the meeting that began today will serve as a space for the encounter and continuous rapprochement with the homeland.
The meeting will be held in face-to-face and virtual format and will be attended by Cubans living in Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Panama, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Bolivia, Argentina, Jamaica, Haiti and Ecuador.
The VI Regional Meeting is organized by the Association of Cubans Residing in Venezuela, a project that arose from the idea of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016), to work for the union of the nation and its emigration.
